Thursday 5th August - Foam squabs presented as evidence
Forensic examinations of the yacht of murder accused Scott Watson have been the focus of Crown evidence this afternoon, in the High Court murder trial in Wellington.
The detective who supervised the seizure of the yacht, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope last year has been on the witness stand all day.
Detective Sergeant David Landreth showed the jury a foam squab from the yacht Blade which had chunks missing from it.
The Crown is alleging that the pieces were dug out to cover evidence.
Smears of blood were also detected on parts of the yacht, but they're not thought to be important to the Crown's case.
